Sea-water transmission

Sea-water transmission is usually performed in order to achieve the following two objectives:

  • Industrial applications mostly in cooling systems
  • Transfer of sea water to desalination units

In the technical references, GRP pipes are always introduced as preferred alternative for the seawater transmission.
High performance of Faratec pipes in Sea-water transmission pipelines is proved based on the conducted projects as reliable examples.
Corrosion does not occur on the Faratec pipes because of their particular design.
In addition, the suspended particles in the seawater cannot cause serious abrasion on the inner surface of the pipe due to the specific structure of these pipes.
Faratec pipes have been used so far in numerous petrochemicals and power plants in order to transfer sea water to their operating units.
